You can further add to your healthy food choices by using dairy products which have little or no fat in them.A wonderful alternative for getting calcium and helping you slim down is yogurt. 

4. Eating Fresh Meat
As you know meat is one of the primary resources of protein. Eating meat in moderate portion sizes is the key to eating healthily and keeping your weight under control.
Every individual calorie needs varies, so a moderate portion should be about 4 to 5 oz.It is important for the meat to be as lean as possible.You can greatly reduce the fat by baking, broiling or grilling the meat.Go for fish as your source of lean meat protein for a healthier food choice.



5. Whole Grains
6 oz. of grains should be included in your daily meals as part of a well balanced diet to keep you healthy. Today's whole grain cereals are much tastier than the cereals of old.

A great way to get your required daily intake of fruit and grains is to mix them together. By mixing them together, you get new flavors and varieties. If you are a bread lover you should select whole grain bread.Once again, present day whole grain breads are tastier and easier to eat.

Now here is an extra tip just for you. Steer clear of food with high percentage of saturated fat, increased levels of sodium and trans fats.Make it a routine to read and inspect the ingredients labels on food packaging before purchasing.
It is quite obvious there are many other healthy food options you can make. It is also obvious that proper portion size is vital to your health and your weight.If you include an exercise program in addition to your healthy food option, you will become even healthier and able to keep your weight under control.
